It establishes the potential benefits of tree shelter use (which amount to a CO2 saving of about 40 million tonnes annually) and sets out a framework for how the benefits can be quantified in specific situations. From reprint requests, it has already generated significant interest amongst users of tree shelters and policy formulators within DEFRA.
