The paper presents a novel data-driven modelling technique which is applied to the problem of forecasting the evolution of offshore sandbanks over the period of almost a decade. The method involves statistical analysis, resampling and forecasting steps and was validated against a high quality dataset obtained from the Great Yarmouth Port Authority.
