Abstract: Assessment and feedback are essential to teaching and learning, offering students opportunities to demonstrate understanding while enabling educators to evaluate progress and provide guidance. Recent innovations in assessment design aim to enhance their role in promoting student outcomes. This paper discusses the transformation of assessment and feedback within the postgraduate module Critical Thinking in Entrepreneurship (MN-M550) at the School of Management, Swansea University. Leveraging the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, the redesign implemented Canvas quiz techniques, fostering inclusivity, engagement, and improved performance. The study highlights the benefits of flexible assessment and actionable feedback, underpinned by a constructive alignment to Bloom’s Taxonomy. Results revealed significant improvements in student engagement, assessment outcomes, and feedback response rates, aligning with the Swansea University Learning and Teaching Strategy.
