This study, therefore, focuses on the experiences and attitudes of patients regarding use of patient portals and access to their health information. It further explores various factors perceived by patients that may influence portal use and uptake. These patient experiences were gathered through semi-structured interviews of 13 participants and the data collected was subjected to analysis using the grounded theory approach. The overall findings from this study highlights positive patient perceptions of portal use.
