Abstract: The focus of the session is to show how rubrics can be designed to use develop constructive feedback while also standardising the marking when team teaching. It is coming knowledge that both feedback and marking varies wildly between lecturers even those teaching on the same module. I have found that by creating weighted rubrics the marking can be standardised and automatically calculated, thus making it fairer when there are multiple markers. I have also found that if the feedback within each section is sufficiently well created and detailed it shows students which elements they need to improve. This then can be supported by targeted quick marks. Thus, making marking easier for staff and also easier to digest for students. In the session participants will learn how to develop one of these rubrics.
