Both Submissions lead to a collaborative research project with the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University, China, and the methodologies developed have been successfully applied to simulate thermal transfer in the new generation High Temperature Pebble Bed reactor, and thus have provided valued information to the design and future safe operation of the world&#x2019;s first commercial nuclear reactor of such a type.
