Abstract: This paper describes a case of conduction aphasia (patient CT), who presented with profound nonword repetition difficulties without any basic auditory processing deficits. We report analyses of CT's performance on a number of short term memory tasks which, taken together, can be best accommodated by models of phonological short term memory that include both input and output buffers.
