Participants had rarely received formal training regarding physical activity for people with type 1 diabetes. They indicated limited knowledge of specific physical activity guidelines, either for the general population or for people with type 1 diabetes. However, participants reported feeling relatively confident in their ability to advise people with type 1 diabetes regarding physical activity.
