Item Description: |
Cross-sectional studies using a scanning near-field optical microscope were implemented on a buried heterostructure semiconductor laser for the first time. Our studies exposed leakage paths by using the SNOM to promote charge carriers and measure photocurrents. Intrinsic fields within the device were also revealed. |
