Item Description: Published in Chemical Communications in 2010 (Impact factor 6.378, 18 citations). This work is a collaboration with Bangor University (Holliman) that demonstrates the possibility of reducing the dyeing times of dye-sensitized solar cells from 24 hours to below 5 minutes and removes a key bottleneck in the manufacturing process enabling the possibility of large scale manufacture. This work led to a patent (Application No 20110303261) and has since been further developed in collaboration with Tata Steel Europe for implementation into pilot scale manufacture.
