Item Description: |
Collaboration with Bangor University and Tata (as part of the ERDF SPARC project (£1.5m)) to develop a new technique for dye uptake kinetics for DSC technology which is scalable to multiple samples. The two methods involve photography and image analysis and spectrophotometry and both agree with traditional dye-desorption studies but can record far more data quickly. The photographic method has the advantage that it is suitable for multiple simultaneous sample analysis. The methods have generic utility for the analysis of any reaction in which colour changes with time, for example in photo-degradation. (IF 6.1 and 9 citations). |
