Baseline environmental noise data collection using a novel method of boat drifting. Survey site chosen is the first commercial deployment of tidal renewable energy in Wales, and our data helped the company to obtain an operational permit. Our ongoing work is part of the formal conditions set by the regulator for environmental licence requirements (Contact Chris Williams, Tidal Energy Limited). Resulted in chair of NERC Marine Energy KE Programme Advisory Group (Contact Annie Linley, NERC). |
