Item Description: This was the first review of studies involving the SSI, which is one of the most widely used and well established tools in shiftwork research. It provided an overview of the state of the art in current shiftwork research. It was one of the first assessments of the impact of shiftwork to be based on the aggregation of findings from a broad range of studies within the field.
