The study addresses some of these challenges with a vision of enabling children&#x2019;s voice and listening to their views (Shier 2001). This paper is focused on an area of activity of this research, that is, the work with children to understand their perceptions and experiences. We make the connection between a healthy environment (school) and better health and wellbeing for all generations in Wales, by exploring perceptions of tanning and how healthier attitudes and behaviours can be encouraged and adopted from a young age to build a resilient and hopeful future. This project addresses a health public issue with ongoing education strengths in Wales by building on the holistic education process proposed in Curriculum for Wales (Welsh Government 2023).
