While English remains the primary integration medium for adult migrants in Wales, the findings in this study suggest that learning the minority Welsh language can strengthen the participants&#x2019; agency and personal growth. These findings further challenge monolingual norms, traditionally adopted for adult migrant language instruction in Wales, as elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
