Abstract

Agri-food supply chains (AFSCs) are essential for addressing global food security and promoting the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal of reducing hunger. These chains stand out because they deal with perishable goods that have limited shelf life and are subjected to erratic agricultural situations, such as fluctuating weather. To preserve sustainability and competitiveness, innovative approaches such as cross- border knowledge mobilization are essential for effective AFSC management. To identify the elements essential to effective knowledge mobilization within AFSCs, this study explores the dynamics of this process. Eleven potential critical success factors (CSFs) are identified and analyzed by using questionnaire surveys to collect extensive data from AFSC practitioners. The results of a multiple regression analysis show that eight of the identified criteria are strongly correlated with knowledge mobilization success. Notably, two parameters show negativecorrelations, indicating intricate interactions in the dynamics of knowledge. The study's findings highlight the value of strategic knowledge management for increasing the efficacy and efficiency of AFSCs and advancing the larger objective of sustainable food security. This research advances the goal of eliminating world hunger by exposing the complex effects of these CSFs and offering practitioners and policymakers useful insights for enhancing AFSC operations.
<type>Journal Article</type><journal>Contemporary Economics</journal><volume>18</volume><journalNumber>1</journalNumber><paginationStart/><paginationEnd/><publisher/><placeOfPublication/><isbnPrint/><isbnElectronic/><issnPrint/><issnElectronic>2300-8814</issnElectronic><keywords>Knowledge mobilisation success, knowledge boundaries, agri-food supply chains, critical successfactors.</keywords><publishedDay>31</publishedDay><publishedMonth>3</publishedMonth><publishedYear>2024</publishedYear><publishedDate>2024-03-31</publishedDate><doi>10.5709/ce.1897-9254.529</doi><url>https://ce.vizja.pl/en/search/q/An+Investigation+of+the+Critical+Factors+That+Influence+Knowledge+Mobilization+Success+in+Agri-Food+Supply+Chains#art738</url><notes/><college>COLLEGE NANME</college><department>Management School</department><CollegeCode>COLLEGE CODE</CollegeCode><DepartmentCode>CBAE</DepartmentCode><institution>Swansea University</institution><apcterm/><funders>The work reported in this paper has benefited from the RUC-APS project funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Programme (H2020-MSCA-RISE Award No. 691249).</funders><projectreference/><lastEdited>2024-05-08T11:59:10.2922363</lastEdited><Created>2024-04-29T08:36:02.4104749</Created><path><level id="1">Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences</level><level id="2">School of Management - Business Management</level></path><authors><author><firstname>Huilan</firstname><surname>Chen</surname><order>1</order></author><author><firstname>Shaofeng</firstname><surname>Liu</surname><order>2</order></author><author><firstname>Guoqing</firstname><surname>Zhao</surname><order>3</order></author><author><firstname>Uchitha</firstname><surname>Jayawickrama</surname><order>4</order></author><author><firstname>Xiaofang</firstname><surname>Wu</surname><order>5</order></author></authors><documents><document><filename>66207__30311__d8392b7e3a784e9aa46c94edb287cd79.pdf</filename><originalFilename>66207.VoR.pdf</originalFilename><uploaded>2024-05-08T11:55:32.9952133</uploaded><type>Output</type><contentLength>465230</contentLength><contentType>application/pdf</contentType><version>Version of Record</version><cronfaStatus>true</cronfaStatus><documentNotes>This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.</documentNotes><copyrightCorrect>true</copyrightCorrect><language>eng</language><licence>https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.en</licence></document></documents><OutputDurs/></rfc1807>
