Abstract: A nucleic acid which encodes a peroxisomal fatty acid transporter, uses thereof and a method of genetic manipulation of peroxisomal fatty acid transport and/or Metabolism. The nucleic acid and its products are especially for use in regulation of peroxisomal fatty acid transport in plant and in controlling the spectrum of fatty acids which can be utilised by the plant.
