In the present paper, we propose a conceptual model based on Kirzner&#x2019;s alertness theory [entrepreneurial alertness] and rely on two factors [entrepreneurial orientation and marketing orientation] as key accelerators of entrepreneurial financial alertness. We assume that entrepreneurial financial alertness (EFA) might have a direct impact on entrepreneurial finance-based digital transformation (EFDT), which in turn, is expected to predict both innovation entrepreneurial finance (IEF) and SMEs&#x2019; entrepreneurial performance (SMEEP). Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed using data collected from a purposive sample size of 214 Jordanian entrepreneurs. Our findings largely support the impact of EFA on EFDT. EFDT was also supported having a significant impact on both IEF and SMEEP. Our study has many implications for both researchers and practitioners in the area of entrepreneurial finance-based digital transformation. The study has great added-value by proposing and examining a solid theoretical foundation covering the most influential factors that drive digital entrepreneurial transformation as such transformation stands as an emerging and pressing issue, not fully tackled by prior studies.
<type>Journal Article</type><journal>Venture Capital</journal><volume>26</volume><journalNumber>4</journalNumber><paginationStart>401</paginationStart><paginationEnd>429</paginationEnd><publisher>Informa UK Limited</publisher><placeOfPublication/><isbnPrint/><isbnElectronic/><issnPrint>1369-1066</issnPrint><issnElectronic>1464-5343</issnElectronic><keywords>Entrepreneurial financial alertness, digital transformation, innovative entrepreneurial finance, SMEs&#x2019; entrepreneurial performance, Marketing orientation</keywords><publishedDay>1</publishedDay><publishedMonth>4</publishedMonth><publishedYear>2024</publishedYear><publishedDate>2024-04-01</publishedDate><doi>10.1080/13691066.2023.2195127</doi><url/><notes/><college>COLLEGE NANME</college><CollegeCode>COLLEGE CODE</CollegeCode><institution>Swansea University</institution><apcterm/><funders/><projectreference/><lastEdited>2024-11-04T11:11:21.0790209</lastEdited><Created>2023-03-18T16:12:34.5580867</Created><path><level id="1">Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences</level><level id="2">School of Management - Business Management</level></path><authors><author><firstname>Ali Abdallah</firstname><surname>Alalwan</surname><order>1</order></author><author><firstname>Abdullah M.</firstname><surname>Baabdullah</surname><order>2</order></author><author><firstname>Abdulla Hamad M.
