Item Description: This paper presents the work to adapt the FLITE CFD code for it to be applied to the particularly challenging flow conditions experienced by the BLOODHOUND SSC i.e. high Mach number, complex geometry and boundary conditions, including supersonic rotating surfaces. The stabilisation of the finite volume scheme using a consistent HLLC flux function and the resulting algorithm performance discussed along with its impact on the aerodynamic design of BLOODHOUND SSC.
