Item Description: This paper presents a development of thin-layer composite membranes imprinted for selective recognition of template compounds in aqueous solutions. The work was carried out in collaboration with three international partners. It was instrumental in attracting an EU-FP7 project with 11 international partners and to the funding of two projects by KACST in Saudi Arabia and Qatar Foundation. Led to a plenary lecture at Water Desalination Conference in Arab Countries (ARWADEX) and was also presented, in more details, as a chapter in a book “Membrane Modification: Technology and Applications- ISBN-13: 978-1439866351” by Nidal Hilal et al.
