Item Description: |
This paper was published in a leading international journal (IF 1.6. Citations 25) in its field and has been regularly cited by a range of international authors. The paper describes a novel technology which is now widely used within repair technology at Rolls-Royce and offers significant cost savings (Advocate: michael.hicks@rolls-royce.com). The paper was the initial output which spawned a series of follow up papers which are attracting further citations. The methodology described in the paper has been applied to different high performance materials in subsequent publications, and the paper forms one of the key initial papers on shaped metal deposition. |
