Item Description: |
This paper resulted from a project funded by EPSRC (GR/S70968) on developing improved higher order accurate methods for subsurface reservoir simulation.Higher order methods are extended to 3D on unstructured grids with a local maximum principle. The method is coupled with a continuous Darcy flux CVD(MPFA) leading to a novel formulation with minimal degrees of freedom in the system. Benefits are demonstrated versus CVFE. This new development is gaining interest in industrial research (Seong Lee, SEON@chevron.com, H. Friis HelmerAndre.Friis@iris.no). |
