Item Description: This paper describes the essential features of the HY3D code that was developed with the support of BAE Systems. This was adopted as the basic electromagnetic solver for the EPSRC/BAE Systems FLAVIIR project (GR/S715520). In its present form, HY3D is regarded by BAE Systems as an internationally competitive predictive tool for general RF threat analysis (David Rowse, David.Rowse@baesystems.com). It has already been used by BAE Systems, in joint projects with the UK Government and European collaborators, for calculating resonant fields in vehicles.
