Abstract

Microalgae are microscopic heterotrophic–autotrophic photosynthesizing organisms with enormous potential as a source of biofuel. Dinoflagellates, a class of microalgae, contain large amounts of high-quality lipids,the principal component of fatty acid methyl esters.
