Item Description: |
This work highlighted the differences between atomic ion beams and diffuse neutral gas targets for intense field ultrafast laser ionisation studies. The atom's initial charge state largely determines the subsequent multiple ionisation, contradicting previous assumptions. I designed the optics configuration, data analysis and collection software and led the experimental investigations. |
