Item Description: This paper reports an attempt to laser-stimulate the formation of antihydrogen, thereby directly controlling the state of the antiatoms. The null-result limits the processes important for antihydrogen formation. Madsen led the design and implementation of the laser system, analysis and interpretation of the results, and preparation of the manuscript.
