Item Description: This paper is the initial result of one-year collaboration with Aalto University and the SPECIFIC IKC (EPSRC EPI019278 £5.01m) aimed at developing new routes to produce catalytically active surfaces on fluorine doped tin oxide (transparent conducting) glass. We have developed a method for electrodepositing a lead scaffold particle network that can act as a host for a shell coating of platinum which enable less of the precious metal use whilst it maintains catalytic activity. This kind of electrode can be used in a range of devices including the counter electrode of a dye sensitised solar cell (IF 4.08 citations 7)
