The article assesses the results of the 2010 general election in Wales and addresses their significance in terms of electoral and party representation trends in Wales, the electoral strategies of the political parties in a territorially differentiated segement of the election, and the development of multi-level politics in Wales in the context of devolution. The article presents original empirical evidence and provides a sceptical analysis of the extent to which the election provided evidence of long-term Labour party decline. |
