Sion Rhydderch was a well known figure as a printer, publisher, poet, translator, lexicographer, collector of manuscripts, almanac writer, and eisteddfod promoter. The author has designed a project which will amount to the first comprehensive study of his work. The strategy employed is to publish individual chapters as they are completed. The first chapter appeared during the RAE period, but two other articles have appeared since, which will form part of the final study — SRh's work as 'classical' poet, and his complex network of connections with poets, writers and translators in all parts of Wales. As they form part of the same study it is apt that these two should count as one REF item. |
